Valencia won Getafe in the Spanish Cup of 2008 by 3-1 in Vicente Calderon stadium. The three goals were from Alexis, Mata and Morientes. By the way, Granero scored from Getafe. It was, surprisingly, an easy match for Valencia, so they scored the first two goals in the first 12 minutes of the match. Then was easy to keep the result.
At the beggining of the second half, Esteban Granero, socred a penalty that Hildebrand couldn’t do anything to stop it. It was the 2-1 and the final was difficult again for Valencia. Fortunatelly, Morientes scored the third goal for Valencia and the 3-1 was impossible to Getafe to take over.
Valencia won this cup eliminating before arriving the final, Atletico de Madrid, Betis and FC Barcelona in a quite difficult way to arrive to the final, but players like Villa, Silva or even Mata could do it.
It was 11 years ago and, this Saturday, Valencia has the possibility to win a new Spanish Cup against FC Barcelona. We are sura that Marcelno and the rest of the plaers will make our dreams comes true and, on Sunday, all the city will be celebrating this tittle 11 years before the last one.
